Description

This is just the first section of the Elbow trail, which continues north all the way to the West Bragg Creek trailhead (as a ski trail). This section is intended to be multi-use and also provides access for hikers to the Fullerton Loop. Outside ski season, you can continue a further 0.7 km on Elbow to reach Sugar Daddy.

Note that the original trail left the Allen Bill parking lot on the south side of the highway and first passed under the road bridge before following the edge of the river. The 2013 floods washed away a large section of the trail (as well as a section of the road bridge)! Both the bridge and the trail have been rebuilt, but the trail now follows a different route and starts from the new Fullerton parking lot on the north side of the road.
