Intermediate to advanced singletrack with two optional diamond loops and fire roads.

Carl Thelemann

Pound for pound, this is probably the greatest official Long Island Mountain Bike course that there is. The main loop is about 4 miles but sections of it are tight and there's some elevation changes that may be too much for a beginner.

There's just over 11 miles of diamonds, both single and double. There is constant up and down flow which is great for plenty of fun when riding or trying to increase your time for a good workout. There's some small logs to roll over, some rocks from small to large rollers to ride over, and plenty of tight twisty flow turns. There's some moguls as well. This is a great trail to learn the technique of standing when riding and turning. If not you're going to be sorry as you'll get banged up from some trees. Watch for some stops along the side of the trails that can give you a good endo toss.

The trail is setup like none other. Everything loops around and you can do a diamond two or three times if you want without having to do another diamond. You can ride this trail with a few inches of snow on the ground as well.

Total miles is close to 13.5. When you're on Long Island and are in shape this trail flows like no other. Come get some, you won't be disappointed!

It is maintained by an unbelievable individual named Hitch. If you see him working in there thank him for his efforts. The guy is amazing!

Just rode the blue route and one of the diamond loops. Beautiful woods and nice flowing trails.

Under estimated this trail. I usually ride very technical trails like Cunningham park and stillwell woods. But both those tracks are quite flat and short. Glacier is looooong and the climbs are about 10x harder than anything at Stillwell and about 20x that off Cunningham Pk. Love the flow especially The Ridges and White Ghost. Jul 5, 2017
