Awesome ride through the enchanted forest

Johnny Yip

Description

A favorite loop at Wilder Ranch State Park - so good that it's worth doing a few laps on it. From Hwy 1, you can access this loop from Baldwin Loop or Wilder Ranch Loop depending on where you parked.

There are some technical sections through rocks and roots, but it's totally doable, even on a hardtail.

FUN! quick DH run with root drops. USE BALDWIN LOOP to access trail and then make two loops through the forest. 1.9mi

Caught Enchanted for the first time after coming down Eucalyptus in a CW direction. We hit Enchanted going CCW. It was fun but do it CW, not CCW.

Forecasting the weather...

have "they" not re-routed this trail? hopefully they didn't ruin a good thing? Apr 28, 2016

The climb out has been rerouted May 15, 2016

The reroute is actually a good thing in my opinion. It only affects the climb out (the smooth but quite steep climb through the meadow). It is now a much easier grade (and a prettier trail). The decent has not been touched, all the roots, rocks and drops are in place. Aug 1, 2016
