Overview

Description

Pigtail starts from Mystic Trail and climbs at first through a ledgy drainage. At the top of the climb, the trail traverses a west facing hillside and begins to duck in and out drainages sharply.

From there Pigtail becomes challenging and super fun. There is a section of steep armored g-outs followed by the 'diving board', a rock slab at the top of a gully that is a great opportunity for airtime.

The lower reaches of the trail are narrow and flowy through dense trees and shrubs. The route ends at the intersection with Mystic Trail and Peccary Trail. Turn right to connect all the way back to the Broken Arrow trailhead.
