Description

Mike Thompson Loop comes of the TTT trail. It starts through a ditch and then cuts across a field at the end of cul-de-sac. Keep going and you'll see the marker to the trail. From there it gets really technical with major roots, and alot of twitsy sections. Its a bit of an odd area as you are riding on behind houses, but the trail is is still on university property.

The name of the trail has been under dispute. It is currently named after Mike Thompson, who made most of the MTB trails in the Mobile area. It was also called Herman Thomas as a local political joke. The trail is so rooty and bumpy it was like the trail is spanking you. Judge Herman Thomas was disbarred for improperly paddling prisoners. Some people really didn't like the name so Cody Trail was also used for Cody Road which runs right next to the trail.
