Family Friendly The park the trail system is located in also has a beach, playground, sports fields, basketball courts, and campground.

Overview

Chickasabogue offers 13+ miles of constantly changing wooded areas. There are swampy areas that quickly transition into pine trees and fast downhills. A beautiful river runs adjacent to the trail system and offers a great place to take a break or the perfect photo opportunity!

Need to Know

There is a $1.00 per person entry fee to access the park for day use. Plenty of restrooms on-site in multiple locations. The park is conveniently located just off I-65.

Description

Starting off, you'll experience the ups and downs of the Cemetry Loop and that will lead you under I-65 to the challenging and technical Hemp Trail.

Conquer that and you'll shoot directly into the Coaster Trail that will have your adrenaline pumping!

Catch your breath and get ready for some punchy climbs on 265 Loop.

Once you exit, you'll have just enough time on the doubletrack to get ready for South Trail. On the South Trail, you'll get to ride the Collar Bone Canyon that has been aptly named. Up and down you'll go until you shoot out at the mouth of The Black Forest Trail!

The Black Forest Trail will have your heart rate up as you ascend to the bottom of the valley and back to the top multiple times.

You'll end back on doubletrack that you'll ride on the Connector Trail to the beginning of Misery Trail.

Misery Trail offers you some off-camber, rooty turns and switchbacks that are sure to test you.

Finish that, and you're going to zoom across the beach parking lot to Beach Loop Trail where you'll find some swampy areas and climbs to get your heart rate back up.

That loop will lead you to Indian Loop, where you can put the hammer down and finish back at the car feeling strong and refreshed!
