Conditions

All Clear 48 days ago
A lot of poison oak along the trail, so be careful or wear long pants. Many bushes of it: low and high to waist level. History

Getting forecast...

Ride out onto the bluff for a nice overlook of Merrill Ranch out into the Salinas Valley.

Features -none-

Fort Ord National Monument trails are closed from 30 minutes after sunset to 30 minutes before sunrise.

Description

This trail loops off of Manzanita Rd out through the Manzanita onto a bluff overlooking Merrill Ranch and then back to the road. It is fairly tight and flows pretty well with some gradual climbs and descents. Some sections can be a bit rutted and sandy but generally holds up well.
