Overview
Alum Creek Phase 2 is the next step up on the difficult meter after the
Alum Creek Phase 1 Trail. Phase 2 adds many log piles, narrow ladder-bridges and climbs. Like Phase 1, Phase 2 runs next to a portion of the reservoir and offers great scenery.
Need to Know
This trail will typically dry out slowly after rain. The parking lot is located across the street from the trail.
Description
The Alum Creek MTB Trail system is located in Delaware County, Ohio in Alum Creek State Park. The trail system was built and is maintained by the Central Ohio Mountain Bike Organization (COMBO). The trail system is located on the east side of Alum Creek Reservoir.
The Phase 2 parking lot is located off of the west side of Africa Road just north of Cheshire Road. The Phase 2 trail is on the east side of Africa Road across from the entrance to the parking lot. The trail, which is ridden counterclockwise, is about 6.5 miles long and is well marked. The trail is listed as difficult because has many technical aspects to it, including many narrow bridges, log piles, tree roots and climbs. As a result, it is considered more difficult than Phase 1.
