Description

This trail leaves from the Lajitas Airport trailhead and was built to add a dedicated singlespeed course to the old Chihuahuan Desert Challenge. It is usually ridden west to east but it's fun in both directions.

It's often used to link up with Loop 4 to make a great 14-15 mile ride that combines Loop 4, the Dog Loop and parts of Loops 1 and 2. It can also be combined with 3A and the Sport Course to make an excellent 3 plus mile loop that features some of the best local singletrack in a short loop that can be added on to longer rides or done from the trailhead.
