Start at the end of Box Mill Rd and follow the trail into the woods. After ~500 ft there is a T-junction and you want to take a left and follow the yellow trail until you cross a small stream and the trail forks. Keep straight and follow the blue trail to climb Hager Hill, the first good climb of the ride.

Once on top, cross the gravel road and descend the blue trail on the other side of Hager Hill. After a large boulder the trail turns to the right. Follow that trail over roots and rocks until you get to a junction where there is a red map display on a tree. Turn left and follow the red trail.
