“A short out-and-back with some fun trail and a great view.
— Brook Mooney
Dogs must be on a leash. No Horses.
The beginning of the trail has some water-bar step ups and winding turns. They are all very doable and are a lot of fun on the way back.
Once you reach the top of the ridge, watch for the turn off to the right. If you miss the turn you'll soon be walking.
Continue south along the top of the ridge. There are some sections of big slab rock and some tight singletrack.
At the furthest point out you'll find yourself standing on the edge of a red rocky cliff. To the west you'll see Horsetooth Reservoir, south the hogbacks and foothills, west Arthur's Rock/Lory State Park, and a couple hundred feet below you, Quarry Cove.
