Overview

This loop has a little bit of everything; a challenging climb up Towers with a beautiful lookout over Horsetooth, a fun, semi-technical downhill on Sawmill Trail, finished off with carvable, fast singletrack on Nomad Trail.

Description

From the parking lot, head north on East Valley Trail. At the first intersection, turn right onto Towers. This is where the fun begins. It is a steep fire road, so close your eyes and feel the burn; there's nothing technical about it, it's just steep and hard. Continue until you see the junction with Herrington Trail.

Turn right onto Herrington Trail and enjoy fast singletrack with a couple of technical rocks, roots, and mini bumps, nothing too crazy here. Herrington Trail eventually meets up with a junction with Loggers and Sawmill Trail. Take a right onto Sawmill Trail and enjoy fun, fast singletrack with a couple of sharp switchbacks and some semi-technical rocks to keep things interesting.

At the bottom of Sawmill Trail, turn right for Nomad Trail and enjoy more fast, flowy singletrack. This takes you straight back to East Valley Trail where you can enjoy a quick cool-down back to your car.
