Description

Most of the Foothills trail is wide, crushed gravel shared by runners, bikers, families, and prairie dogs. It certainly isn't a destination trail, but it's a great way to ride to start/finish your ride in north Boulder.

The section of Foothills trail north of Lee Hill Drive is infinitely more fun than the southern section. The northern section features narrower, more technical trail, a brief rocky climb, a few little water bars, and a ripping fast descent (if riding north/east).

Started at Linden and Wonderland Hill Ave. Dropped to Broadway at Laramie Blvd and headed back to Linden. Fast, fun loop, a healthy dose of uphill :)

The stretch of this behind Dakota Ridge (from 1.5 to 2 miles on North West Corner) feels more like a blue trail to me, Rocky climbing section and a steep climb on if going in Souther direction Jul 8, 2016
