Virginia Stickseed (Hackelia virginiana), has minute spikes on its seed coat that adhere like velcro to most any fabric (or fur) at the slightest touch. Can cause itching.

Mile-a-minute weed (Persicaria perfoliata) is a vigorous, barbed vine that smothers other herbaceous plants, shrubs and even trees by growing over them.
Black raspberry (Rubus Occidentalis) bushes have thorns and bluish-white stems which are red if scratched. Not Poison Ivy, although leaf shapes are somewhat similar. It should be noted that City of Pgh uses TorDon for seasonal herbicide = not food-safe.
Thorny rose and berry bushes dominate the uphill side of the "meadow".

Hercules Club aka Devil's Walking Stick. Don't try to lean on one of these. This one is about 2" in diameter, and also has spikes sticking up between its opposite leaves. This plant is kind of a jerk.
