As you approach Foy Lake (a/k/a Spring Lake on some maps), there are a handful of difficult rocky climbs. But they're short.
A pleasant pond along the doubletrack, looking to the south, where you're heading.

Toward the bottom, there are fun rocky descents (technical, but doable for many intermediate riders) amid maples and other deciduous trees. <br> <br> Because some hike-a-bike rocky climbs follow, one wishes the Forest Service would build a connector trail northwest to Forest Road 5389 at this location.
The sometimes technical doubletrack that begins the climb on Spring Creek Trail No. 159.
