Overview
The Refuge is divided by the Suwannee River and referred to as the Dixie or Levy County side of the Refuge. Gate numbers start at 01 in each county. You may go around locked refuge gates unless the area is posted as closed.
Trails are usually mowed twice a year–mid-summer and before hunting season. Be aware of and respect hunters. Wear bright colors.
Insect repellent is recommended when visiting.
