Local Info

Rio Rancho features some great riding. First and foremost, be sure to check out the Mariposa Fat Bike trails. These trails are perfect for fatter tire bikes (plus sizes) and feature very narrow trails with plenty of sandy sections making them difficult for even the most skilled rider. Anything less than a fat bike damages the trails and aggravates erosion. Please respect all signage and trail directions.

Another zone to ride is The Bosque area. It's great for beginners and features fun, fast, and flowy singletrack near the river. Lastly, just a short drive from Rio Rancho is White Mesa and Red Mesa. All of these combined makes Rio Rancho a perfect place for a bike enthusiast!
