Sapsucker is a fantastic trail. It's a two-way trail, but it's best going north to south. Start at the high point of Roll Call, turn left on to Downy and then take a right 20ish yards in, onto Sapsucker. It's a steady climb for 10ish minutes up some switchbacks, and then a very smooth flowy ride eventually connecting to Pileated Pass. You can ride it the other way for a gradual climb and a steeper downhill and turns at the end if that's what blows your hair back, but watch out for bike traffic coming the other way. Most people start from the north.

Lots of little berms, bumps, turns, and jumps, nothing technical. There are some short wooden bridges that can be slick when wet. You can turn right on to Hairy along the way, but if you're looking for smooth flow and well-maintained trails, stay on Sapsucker.

The NBNC and MAMBA do a FANTASTIC job beautifully maintaining the trails and marking intersections with maps. You can't get lost if you try. Big thanks to them!
