2026 Cacapon Enduro Route: 5 Stages for all except Pro & Expert

Two new trails for this year + some long, grueling descents. Pro and Expert do all of this PLUS add in another climb to the top and you ride the FULL Thunderstruck from top to bottom. That is an additional 5 miles of climbing and transfer, 2.6 miles of racing, and 999 feet of vertical!

Everything starts at the Batt shelter for registration, and from there you climb Boy Scout to the top, and then keep climbing the road to the overlook for a new stage 1: Rocket

STAGE 1: Rocket ride this new fast and flowing trail down to the intersection with Misty Mountain . On Rocket, there are 3 rock gardens, and one rock feature that is rollable. Transfer to stage 2 by turning right on Misty Mountain and climbing back to the ridge and cutting out of Misty Mountain at Porcupine to the Jeep road to the overlook.
STAGE 2: Livin' on the Edge . Another new stage. This is a fast, flowing descent that will test your bike control on flat turns. Then the transfer is a short, but punchy climb continuing on the trail back to the top of Giddy Up.
STAGE 3: You'll race the FULL Giddy-Up! Upper Giddy-Up , Middle Giddy-Up , Lower Giddy-Up . This is a 2.6 mile trail that descends 832 feet back to Batt. Transition after this is back up Lower Boy Scout and Middle Boy Scout to then race Shakedown
STAGE 4: Shakedown . The name says it all. It is loose and fast with a couple of drops that will be required, or you'll have to navigate a chicane to slow you down. Transfer up the mountain a different way now by going up Ramble On to Learn to Fly and then to Upper Girl Scout to the start of Middle Thunderstruck.
STAGE 5: Middle Thunderstruck and Lower Thunderstruck for the finish.
STAGE 6 PRO and EXPERT ONLY: Ziler Loop - South . This is a classic. Rocky, rutted, loose, and rowdy. There are a couple of punchy climbs in the middle.
