Overview
Dry Fork is a local classic due to the easy drive to the trailhead, the rideable climb, and the high-value descent. For such a short ride, you earn an entertaining descent that just seems to go on and on. It's fast and flowy, but fairly technical. You'll encounter plenty of rocks, small drops, and chunder.
Description
Beginning from the Dry Fork trailhead, climb the
Dry Fork Trail , turning left at the Y to continue on the named
Dry Fork Trail. At the junction with the Colorado Trail, turn right, pedal uphill a little more, then get ready to rip! The descent starts fast and furious, with plenty of rocks.
Take a right at the junction with
Hoffheins Trail , and keep on ripping downhill. The trail gets a little smoother here. Take a left when you hit the
Dry Fork Trail to retrace your tire tracks back to the trailhead.
