This trail goes through the inner valley of Breiðavík, which winds south from the eastwards aspect of the inlet. It goes through rough alpine terrain and lush meadows. At the Breiðavík end, the trail terminates at the mountain cabin. On the highland end, the trailhead goes north-west from Loðmundarfjörður (F-946) road.
Midway through is a river crossing which usually requires leading or carrying your bike through.
Moderately steep. Uneven terrain with small rocks or roots.
Sizable rocks & roots. Steep sections.
Steep. Some technical terrain and limited alternate lines.
Very steep. Technical terrain with no alternate lines.
