Need to Know

There are no fees to ride the trails in Stockton State Park. Parking is available at the old cemetery (start point indicated on this trail map) or at the end of the road past the cemetery.

Description

Umber Ridge is similar in nature to the adjacent Lakeview Trail. It can be completed as a short trail or combined with Lakeview for a total of 8.5 miles. The trail is mostly smooth dirt and gravel with occasional roots or larger rocks. There are no particularly steep grades or tricky sections. It's an easy but fun trail that winds around through the woods near the lake shore. The shore is generally no more than 50 yards from the trail but it's difficult to see, at least when the leaves are on. In the winter, there may be nice views of the water.
