Use the east parking lot. This trail is best ridden from north to south as part of a loop with White Reef Trail, Tipple, and Red Reef East. There is a small creek crossing just after the reeds. After the bridge crossing, there are a ton of goat head puncture weeds. Stick to the trail and your tires should be safe.

Quail Creek is the same creek that feeds Quail Lake a few miles away. Hard packed sand is great for during or after a rain storm. It will take you through some of the most beautiful scenery like the rest of the trails in the Red Cliffs Desert Reserve area.

The trail offers a lot of diversity packed into this little mile, including big and small dry drainage ditches carved by rain water to add easy variety, a tall reed singletrack section to make you feel like you're going really fast, a creek crossing, an off-camber boulder as part of the trail, and lots of fast, fun corners. The trail ends near a junction with Prospector and the parking lot.
