This trail keeps going and connects to the Continental Divide Trail. Bikes are not allowed beyond the Lone Star Geyser at this time.

Description

Navigation is simple as all you need to do is follow the road. Cross the first bridge and skip the second one. Keep winding along the Fire Hole River until you come large open area with a cone type geyser. Though not a large as Old Faithful, this spectacular Geyser named "Lone Star" for it's seclusion, is in many ways a better show! Maybe it is better because you can be closer or maybe because the crowds are thinned out. Either way, this is a must ride trail when you are here at the park.

Lone Star puts on a 30 minute show about every 180 minutes and blasts water and steam to heights of 35 and 40 feet.
