Description

The part of Upper Canadian Open DH that's visible from the Fitzsimmons Express Lift makes it look like a pretty benign trail except for the large optional step-down. And, the jump aside, the view from the ground is pretty tame too.

This no doubt allows expert riders to carry the necessary speed into the step-down. Just make sure to scope it out before committing. The smooth ride ends at the tree line where the trail opens with a rough and chunky rock-roll that feeds into a loose run-out. The chunk keeps going across a benched sidehill that soon merges with Lower Joyride.
