Description

Upper Angry Pirate is a fun section of singletrack that exists in the margins between a ski-run on the left and a ravine on the right. The trail builders did an excellent job creating a fun toboggan run in a surprisingly small foot print.

From the top, head into the trees for some tight winding turns. As the trail works down it begins to sweep back and forth through closely stacked berms. Watch out, as one of these berms drops right into a steep man-made rock chute. It's not overly challenging, but it's not the spot you want to lose a pedal. Usually the right line is the best option.

If this is all too much, there is an easier option to the left that cuts off the upper half of the chute. From there, it's back to the steep toboggan turns before reaching the intersection with Lower Angry Pirate, After Atlantis, Crabapple Turns, and Crabapple Hits.

Located in the Fitzsimmons Zone, just west (right) as you exit the Fitzsimmons Express lift.
