Description

The Briggs Creek trail connects Briggs Creek and Kirby Creek drainages. From the Than Creek campground, roll out east up the Briggs Creek drainage. Travel through a mix of forest and open meadows on the north side of the creek. At the upper end, the route will climb steeply to a ridge.

Continue straight at the intersection with Windy Mountain (#454) and Marie Springs to descend into the Grant Creek drainage. This part of the route traverses dry hillsides down to the intersection with Kirby Creek.

Looking west back up the Briggs Creek Trail from its junction with Kirby Creek Trail; this 'back side' of sorts is rarely hiked or biked.

I went halfway and came back down. Steep and strenuous ascent, however the trip back was full of fun and challenging technical areas. 4.5mi
