Description

Fourteen Mile Creek is located at the far south end of CC Divide, descending to the Clark Fork River Valley.

The trail starts with moderate grades as it follows a ridgeline southeast below the peak of Patrick's Knob. The views are spectacular.

Just before half-way, the route wraps around the nose of a slope and then quickly traverses a saddle before dropping into the top of the Fourteen Mile Creek drainage. From here, the grade steepens until the lower reaches of the trail.

There are a couple of tight switchbacks before the route finishes at a dirt road on the north side of the Clark River.
