Overview

The Guyton Area has a trail along Little Gunpowder Falls crossing three feeder streams. Each stream crossing has a trail going up, looping around and back to the flats. Gut Check Grinder uses every trail to get the most distance with minimal overlap.

Need to Know

If you find yourself in a farmed field, please turn around and stay on the singletrack.

Description

This looped, singletrack ride has gut-busting climbs paired with fun-flowing singletrack. Enter the trail at Guyton Rd. where the road turns uphill and away from the river.

Follow the flat track interspersed with roots to the next stream and then cross and turn left on Stoner Rocks Climb. Hit it hard to make it over some rocks and look for a quick left over a brook onto Shelter Rock Trail. Keep left at the stump and log and head through the stream uphill toward Hasselhof.

Turn right here on Lazy Man's Trail and head down and over the stream again to the right. Continue to the south following the MTB Project mobile app until you return via Wicked Woods to David Hasselhoff's Balls back to Guyton Rd.

First trail I'm trying since moving out from Colorado. Running it this time since my bike isn't here yet.

Web of trails. Should have waited a couple more hours to let the trails dry up a little more. Time to go across the river and do the fun trails. 3.5mi
