Description

This trail is bidirectional singletrack though it uses short stretches of dirt roads (Horton Street). The trail is one of the main thoroughfares used to enter the Hardscrabble Area, and it provides access to many trails including the super-popular World's Greatest, Elmer's, Hockett Gulch and the rest.

The trail surface is smooth and tacky, and some newly added switchbacks extended the trail and provide some great up and down on your initial climb. The best benefit of the new switchbacks is that they eliminate the straight uphill climb that used to exist. The turns also give you a little extra terrain on your way back home. Whatever you ride, make sure to save some energy for the end as the climb can be a tough finish.
