Easy, fast, fire roads and some technical singletrack make this area a great shorter ride. There are many different trail combinations in this area.
Need to Know
Hunting is allowed, don't swim at the Herring Run area - some toxic algae year round.
Description
To access this ride, it's best to start at the Depot Street entrance and go straight down the main shoot. There's a trail intersection that allows multiple routes and most will lead right back to this intersection or one of the fire roads.
The hills are short but can be punchy. Cape Cod sand is prevalent and mixed with roots but the terrain is still stable. There is a connection to the Cape Cod Rail Trail and the powerlines.
Moderately steep. Uneven terrain with small rocks or roots.
Sizable rocks & roots. Steep sections.
Steep. Some technical terrain and limited alternate lines.
Very steep. Technical terrain with no alternate lines.
