Description

From the parking lot you'll head towards the Ranger Kiosk and continue down a short paved path which will turn into a fire road. This is the Back Bone Trail. Continue on this fire road for about 1 mile and the entrance to the Bobcat Run trail is on the left.

The trail starts a little flat but soon turns fast and flowy. It has some short climbs and very quick and winding descents. This trail is very well maintained with the brush and branches trimmed away from the trail. You'll eventually end up at the point where you entered the trail and can see the Back Bone Trail (Fire Road) up ahead.

Take a right on the singletrack and continue for another mile or so until you exit on to the Laurel Glen Outer Limits multi-use trail. Take a right and go about 60 ft. and at the Sign Post that says Laurel Glen Quick Escape trail take a left. Go for a short distance and you'll hit the Back Bone Trail once again.

From here you take a right and head back to the parking lot. All in all this trail is a great experience.

Fun techy downhills with roots, ridgelines, switchbacks. Steep techy climbs. Leaf cover, trail difficult to see but doable. Good challenge. 4.6mi

Excellent fast singletrack. Very well designed and built trail! Not as well maintained as some of the other trails in the park, a little overgrown.
