This trail is best to ridden downhill, however, access from the top is via the Mountains to Sea Trail, which is hiking only, but you can walk your mountain bike on the trail.

This trail descends the gap for which it is named. You begin at the top with a steep technical downhill section. The trail then gradually levels off for a faster gradual descent. After, you are treated with a flat scenic ride on the trail that parallels Grogan Creek. Due to rock and roots features, this trail can be dangerous when damp or wet.

This trail features a nice waterfall near the bottom before the intersection with the Long Branch #84.
