“This trail is a singletrack out and back. The long-term plan is to eventually make a loop.
”
This trail is easy singletrack for beginning mountain bikers. The plan is to eventually create a closed-loop trail. There is very little elevation change, and the trail is wooded through hardwood oak, beautiful magnolia, and pine forest. It traverses wetlands and south Alabama farmland. The out-and-back trail currently features a lollipop loop at the 1.5-mile mark and choice of hi- and low-land trails midway.
The trail is maintained by Southeast Alabama Mountain Biking (SAM) in conjunction with the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine (ACOM). For up to date information on the trail, check out the SAM Facebook page. The trail surface is dirt with some roots, not much sand, and very little rocks.
