Mesa Trail #13 extends from Water Canyon Road (FR235) and joins the main Mesa Trail #13. It is mostly hike-a-bike, but provides an alternative way to access the Mesa Trail #13 downhill section or make a larger loop.

The trail can be split into three distinct sections. The first is from the trailhead to an old mine. this section of the trail is mostly rideable but is challenging with various rock features. From the mine up to the mesa is a set of steep switchbacks which are generally overgrown and must be hiked. The third section on the mesa is mostly rideable, but challenging due to rocks, switchbacks and grades.
