The park closes at sundown.

Description

Major trails are blazed, minor trails are not. The vegetation is sometimes overgrown in this area. Most trails can be ridden both directions. The section that parallels the Allegheny River is on the ridge, so be careful.

There are plenty of parking opportunities, and you can drop in on trails in numerous places. The park has running water except during the winter months.

The Scouts Trail is most fun riding in a counter-clockwise direction (rides the longer hills downhill). There are many other trails that connect to this one so you can string loops together for a longer ride.

The area is mostly a mixed hardwood forest, some areas of evergreens, and an occasional field.

Amazing views of the Allegheny River, but you do have to work a bit for them. 5.3mi — 0h 43m
