Lexington Trail leaves Old Kendal Road Loop taking a left at a 4-way intersection, labeled number 18. Lexington Trail rolls downhill, through one of the Land Locked Forest's many swampy areas. Two rickety bridges cross two small streams at the bottom and then climbs up for a ways to firmer ground.

From here, the trail continues straight (a small trail, not shown, leaves to the left heading to backyards on Grove St.) Lexington Trail rolls along here, smooth and steady through the woods. The smoothness comes to an abrupt end when the trail turns to the right, and rolls through a muddy rock garden that crosses a stream.

Things smooth out again after the crossing, and the trail rolls along, passing a large dirt pile with an off-camber turn and a little tree at the top. After this obstacle, the trail turns meets back up with Old Kendal Road Loop.
