Description

Yard Sale is the first of the three bike-optimized trails to be built at Meadowood. It was designed to be a fun introduction to flow trails and dirt jumps for the area's XC riders.

Yard Sale begins from the South Branch Loop near the Belmont Boulevard trailhead. For the most direct access, park at Belmont and take the Belmont Connector trail to South Branch Loop, and make a left. Yard Sale will split from the loop to your right, after crossing a small stream. Trail signage at the intersection explains the technical features of the trail, and will also indicate if the trail is closed due to weather.

From the beginning, Yard Sale presents riders with a flowy series of berms, rhythm sections, and small table tops. Though the trail is generally downhill, riders looking for airtime will want to pedal and pump their way through Yard Sale to make the most of all the lips and bumps. To session Yard Sale, when you reach the end and intersect with South Branch Loop, turn left and continue roughly one mile, passing the entrance and exit to Stinger Trail.

Yard Sale rides best when it's dry and fast, so BLM will occasionally close the trail to allow it to dry out without damage. If the entrance is blocked, or a "trail closed" sign is on the intersection kiosk, please don't ride the trail.

In Spring of 2015, MORE and the BLM will be working to refresh Yard Sale, repair some erosion damage, and maximize the flow and fun. Stay tuned to more-mtb.org for details on how to get involved in the trail work.
