Description

This is a great little trail on Mt. Lemmon that is usually ridden in connection with other trails. Start at the top of Bear Wallow/Bigelow road next to the TV towers. To access Bear Wallow/Bigelow road, head up Lemmon Highway about 1 mile past the Palisades Visitors Center and turn right onto Bear Wallow/Bigelow Road. Then at the first junction, make a right then at the next junction make a left.

You can also start at the bottom of the trail at the parking lot around mile marker 22 on the right side of the road, just before the Palisades Visitors Center. The top of the trail is marked with a metal sign. Just after starting within the first 100 feet or so, there will be a quick right hand turn. Follow the trail about .25 mile to the second junction. From there go left until you reach a 4-way intersection. Bigelow continues to the right down to the parking lot. This is also the junction to take for Kellog/Incinerator Ridge. It's a fun, mildly techy trail with rock water bars to navigate and loose terrain.

Rode hwy up from Bigelow trailhead parking lot. Lots of snow on first 1/4 mile, rocky and technical, but fun! Worth the 45 min climb up. 3.8mi — 0h 55m
