Sherwood Forest is short but sweet and a blast to ride. The easiest way to access this trail is to ride up Caribou Road from town. Another access point is riding up the Caribou Ranch Link trail from the Mud Lake trailhead to county road 126, then riding 126 west to the start fo Sherwood. Most folks will add Sherwood Forest to a larger loop incorporating other great Nederland Singletrack.

The trail itself is narrow singletrack that follows a gently sloping drainage. It is an almost completely smooth riding surface with the occasional rock or root. Tall, grassy ground cover and aspens take turns lining both sides of this trail as you fly down the valley. Full finger gloves are recommended here given the very narrow nature of this trail - you'll be continually smacked in the knuckles by shrubs and grass.

Overall, this trail is a great addition to longer rides in the area.
