Description

AM or Enduro type full suspension bikes highly recommended.

Bull Gap starts just below the Mt. Ashland ski resort on a fast somewhat narrow fire road. Leave the ski lodge parking lot down to the right (east) on the BullGap access rd which goes right by the ski lodge. This section is f-a-s-t with only 2 turns (count the turns)!

Once you reach the end and slow down, you'll go between a couple of big trees then dump into a large open space with a fire road intersection and a yellow pipe gate on your left. Look right, directly across the open section, to a singletrack going uphill (north bound) into the forest. That is Bull Gap ST, which climbs pretty steeply for about 10 to 15 min but is worth the climb.

The trail includes swooping turns, rollers, and short technical rock sections. As you move through the trail, you'll find beautiful views and more downhill flowing singletrack, the last section opens up into a meadow with some fast riding and dumps out into the 4 Corners gravel parking lot. Proceed to the north, right through the 4 Corners gravel parking lot, and you'll encounter a downhill rock garden that is the beginning of Cat Walk. This is another premier fast singletrack. Stay to the right, go over the doubles and the fast life gets real good from there on!
