Overview

Starting from the South Parking lot, this loop highlights the best of FATS, hitting Brown Wave and Skinny which are both super-flowy.

Need to Know

If it has rained within a week or two, expect standing water at the bottom of the whoop-de-do's. Layers of pine needles litter the trail, so it makes it a little slippery.

Description

FATS is marked very well with signs and blazing. You start out at the south parking lot and take a connector trail. Follow the signs to Brown Wave and Skinny. Both of these trails can be taken in any direction and in any order, since they all connect back up just south of the parking lot. It's very flowy with some minimally technical sections. Short, punchy climbs with lots of opportunity for speed. Your speed determines how technical this becomes.

Always a great day.

I wouldn't recommend riding this trail with no suspension, but the trail was so much fun anyways :)

This Great Wall at Forks Area Trail System in South Carolina. Great Wall is a 9 mile ride in total from Trail and Back. Depending on the direction you'll have more down hill or absolute brutal but still awesome climbs.
