Description

Man High Hill and Portsmouth Mine Lake are full of pre-NASA history. Welded into his capsule, the first man to see the curvature of the Earth was launched for a 32 hour flight here. Details of this feat can be found at the historical marker near the paved trail and HWY 6 parking.

Expect climbing, switchbacks, climbing, switchbacks.... or stick the Drag Line detour and skip it all (you weinie!).
