Bureau of Reclamation manages this land. This is a trophy fishery lake with special fishing regulations. You cannot camp at this lake, but you can camp on public lands nearby.
Description
This is a well beaten super buff walking trail around East Newton Lake. It's a great trail for kids with the ease of riding and all the fun distractions a lake provides. It's flat, as buff as you'll find (as it has been polished by the felt soled boots of countless fisherman). This is the best place to park when there is any wind and gives you a nice flat warm up. It's also quite beautiful around the lake. There are also toilets down here.
You can ride in either direction. The trail starts on either end of the parking area. Keep your speed down in the few limited sight line areas. There are numerous dog walkers and fisherman in this area.
At the very north end of the lake is the Newton-Outlaw Connector Trail to the Outlaw area - probably what you came here for.

Sizable rocks & roots. Steep sections.
Steep. Some technical terrain and limited alternate lines.
