Description

This is the far northern end of the Foothills Trail #365, north of the junction with Trail 230.

As you head north from the "Rocky DH" or "Rock 'n Roll" portion of Trail 230, the surface remains rough but not as steep. There is some climbing for the first bit with tight curves. Eventually, the trail smoothes out and you get some flowy turns, though several are interrupted by large rocks entering or exiting the corners. There is one nice jump in the trail that is good either direction.

Soon the trail starts to climb up towards the lowest tower of the Sandia Peak Arial Tramway, billed as the longest aerial tram in the world (it is worth riding). The main challenges on the climb are going to be the grade and weaving between closely spaced rocks. You finish the trail at a turn-around just in front of a large water tank that sits below the tramway tower. Turn around and ride back.

The descent from the water tanks takes you through huge boulders on each side so watch your pedals.
