This is the best part of the trail through the trees. Note that there is no way to get to Mill Creek Road even though it is 50 feet away. It is fenced and the 2 points where there are locked gates do not have bike or pedestrian gates.

Approaching Mission Peak from the south. You can't ride up to the peak, but you probably wouldn't want to anyway due to the hundreds of people walking on the other side.

Nice flat section at the top between Mission Peak and Monument Peak. You'll probably be the only person up there even on a Saturday.

Monument Peak and the view south from the top. It's a whole different world up here in the heat above the marine layer in the summer. Watch out for snakes!
