In Livek there is a paved road signposted "Matajur". The last hamlet at this road is called "Avsa".
Start:
200m behind Avsa there is a small parking lot and the paved road changes into a dirt road some meters behind.
On the smooth surface of the dirt road you'll climb moderately up to some alms. Enjoy the views - it's possible to see the Adriatic Sea from here. Soon after passing the highest point of this road (near Mount "Mrzli vrh", 1.358m) you'll reach a junction (fork). This point is defined as the end of this trail.
The left branch of this for will bring you to Italy (Livek-Matajur Doubletrack) and the right branch is leading to some alms and back down to Slovenia.
Moderately steep. Uneven terrain with small rocks or roots.
Sizable rocks & roots. Steep sections.
Steep. Some technical terrain and limited alternate lines.
Very steep. Technical terrain with no alternate lines.
