Need to Know

Go to the Fred Trail website for maps and more comprehensive descriptions of the ride.

Description

For this ride, I started at the Outfitters just by the canal path. I go down the path which is a wide path big enough for cars to go in and out of. About half a mile in, the trail turns into singletrack as you make your way to the quarry. You'll come to a spot where you are back in a wide spot for cars and construction vehicles to get through (they're doing construction for the new lanes of I-95 so stay in the designated spaces!).

You then come to the quarry itself. For this ride, I go to the right and stay on the very easy but lovely Beach Trail. This trail follows the river for most of the way before it hooks up with the Ridgeline Trail. I continue to follow the Ridgeline Trail until I get back to the quarry and then I just follow the roads back out the way I came.

Again, this is only one part of the ride and doesn't even cover half the trails in the system!
