Overview

This area contains two primary tracks, Fisher Farm and Cedar Valley. It over two years in the making and opened in June, 2019 (built and designed by the evil genius, Evan St. Clair, tarheeltrailblazers and their volunteers). These trails are masterpieces and a welcome addition to the vast Charlotte area trail network.

Fisher Farm contains lots of flow, technical features and a variety of beginner, intermediate and advanced rated sections.

Cedar Valley is the "bike park", but contains a fantastic flow system with optional ride arounds for advanced features. You can get a lot of speed on Roaster Coaster and can even roll the advanced jump line Double Black Sabbath . The new pro line Nervous Breakdown has mandatory gaps and should be taken cautiously the first time. Pre-ride, re-ride and free ride is good advice. There is a video on this page showing the new line including the trail drop/gap that has been improved even again in 2021 to make it much more flow friendly.

Need to Know

Trails are designated for bikes only! No walkers, hikers or trail runners please.

These are some of the biggest jumps in the area. Please look before you leap and know your ability before attempting to ride these trails.

Description

Cedar Valley Bike Park starts off of Allison Farm Access Road and shares an entrance with Twisted Sister. After the kiosk, enter the woods and take a right at the first intersection (left option is Twisted Sister), and pass through the wooden fence gate to start the ride. The trail quickly exits the woods to a power line clearing and gets rowdy with a gap jump into a flowing double. After a short climb, you pass the intersection with Sweet Leaf Connector and climb to the highest point on the trail system. A short rhythm jump section then leads you to the Cedar Valley Access Road intersection and the start of Roaster Coaster.

Roaster Coaster starts off with a short mellow section before you get to three consecutive switchback berms then the fun begins. More than ten doubles and one huge gap jump await on the downhill portion of this awesome trail. After two quick switchbacks, the trail climbs back up to the intersection with Cedar Valley Access Road and the start of Double Black Sabbath.

Take a moment to catch your breath and prepare yourself for the gnar to come on Double Black Sabbath. Double Black Sabbath starts of with three back-to-back large doubles then leads to a three-pack of progressive gap jumps where the sky is the limit. Shortly after the last gap jump is a huge catch berm that sets you up for a large step-down to double jump. The trail then climbs for about a quarter of a mile to the intersection with Into The Void and Sweet Leaf Connector.

Take the right option on Into The Void and enjoy the last flowing downhill section of the ride that creatively uses a massive downed tree as a small jump to start the run. After the descent, you cross over a small wooden bridge and start the quarter mile steep climb back to the start of the trail near the intersection with the end of Twisted Sister.
