Overview

The route offers spectacular views of the Mediterranean Sea. These mountains are famous for their history as represented by castles, forests, hills, arches of rock, in addition to two spectacular downhills, paths, and small villages of Moorish origin. A "must do" adventure on this side of the coast.

Need to Know

The start and endpoint of the route is at a public parking area. It's possible to stay or buy provisions in two nearby villages.

Description

This route can be ridden over the course of one or two days, with the possibility of staying in one of the villages this route passes through.

Overall, this is a hard tour, crossing valleys and hills, while always looking for the best paths to descend. The route offers many cultural and environmental wonders to explore while providing an aerobic challenge for riders who wish to explore the interior landscape of the Mediterranean Costa Blanca.

History & Background

These mountains set the scene for the Moorish revolts before the expulsion to Africa. These paved paths connect old villages, people of Muslim heritage, and wells with more than 700 years of history.
